The AGM Taipan thermal monoculars have become synonymous with two words: Reliability and Simplicity. The Taipan TM10-256 is a great mid-level thermal monocular for anyone wanting to experience the capabilities of thermal imaging. Equipped with a highly advanced 12 micron 256x192 resolution thermal sensor and a 720x540 LCOS display, it’s a great tool for hunters, campers and general outdoors enthusiasts who want or need to detect the presence of other animals or people in complete darkness. The range of uses include blood-tracking for hunters which aids in game retrieval, enhancing safety and awareness for hikers and camp sites and general nighttime curiosity. The Taipan TM10-256 still comes equipped with many of the most popular software features that experienced thermal users have come desire: up to 8 hours of battery life from an internal rechargeable battery, Wi-Fi hotspot, AGM Connect app compatibility for exporting and sharing images and videos, 1-8X magnification, 8GB of internal storage with no need for a memory card and a 3 Year Transferable Warranty.

Return Timeframe

You may return new and unused purchased AGM, RIX, and Bering Optics items  to American Night Vision within 15 days of delivery for a full refund.

You may return new and unused purchased ATN items  to American Night Vision within 7 days of delivery for a full refund.

Condition of Returns

All items must be returned in new and unused condition, meaning that the package must be unopened, including all original packaging, manuals, accessories, and components. Items that are used, damaged, or missing parts may be subject to a restocking fee or refused.

Return Authorization

All returns must be authorized in advance.Contact us at support@americannightvision.com to request a return.

Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping to American Night Vision. We recommend using a trackable, insured shipping service. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.

Restocking Fees

Depending on the condition of the returned item and the supplier's policy, restocking fees may apply:

  • AGM: No restocking fee for items returned in new condition. Up to 20% may be charged for opened or used items.
  • ATN: Returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned outside the 7-day window or not in original condition.

Refund Method

Approved refunds will be issued to your original method of payment once the item is received and inspected by the manufacturer. Please allow up to 15 business days for processing after American Night Vision receives your return. 

Damaged Items During Shipping

We take great care in ensuring your order arrives safely, but occasionally, damage may occur during transit. If your package arrives with obvious damage:

  • Do not discard the packaging or contents.
  • Take clear photos of the damaged item(s), the packaging, and any shipping labels.
  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing support@americannightvision.com with your order number and the attached photos.
  • We will work with you to resolve the issue quickly—either by providing a replacement, issuing a refund, or filing a claim with the shipping carrier, depending on the situation.

Failure to report shipping damage promptly may result in a denied claim. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us resolve these matters efficiently.

Manufacturer Warranty Claims

All products sold by American Night Vision are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty. If your product is defective or malfunctions within the warranty period, please contact the manufacturer directly to initiate a warranty claim. Manufacturer warranties typically cover defects in materials and workmanship but do not cover accidental damage or misuse.
